What is Partition and Volume Backup?
Partition backup allows you to select a complete partition to back up into a single image file. A volume is a partition to which drive letters are assigned, such as C, D, E, F, etc.
If you want to take a backup of all the partitions on your drive, then it is recommended to take a disk backup. It will include all the partitions.
How to backup Partition or Volume
1.Open the AOMEI Backupper Standard application, and then select Backup > Partition Backup.

2.If you want to name this backup, then click “Task Name” and provide a meaningful name for easy identification of the backup. Click on Add Partition or Volume.

3. Select the “Partition or Volume” that you want to backup and then click Add.

4. Select a destination location where the backup file will be saved, click the “Start Backup” button, and wait for the backup process to complete.

While your backup is running, you can click on the settings icon and choose that, on completion of the backup, your computer should shutdown, restart, hibernate, or sleep.
After the backup is completed, click Finish and check the destination location where you saved the backup image.

How to restore Partition or Volume
This feature is useful in case your computer system partition or volume gets damaged or corrupted. You can easily restore it to its normal state by using the backup image file.
Follow the steps below to perform a restore operation from the backup image file.
1. Select Restore and then Select Task.

2. Select a destination partition, which can be an existing partition or an unallocated space, then click Next.
3. At the operation summary, review the restore process before executing, and if you want to adjust the partitions, then click Edit Partition. Other options, such as sector by sector and SSD restore options, are also available.
4. Click Start Restore and wait for the restore process to complete, then click Finish.
